Keep Up for iOS
Last updated October 24, 2026
Keep Up keeps everything on your iPhone. There is no account, no server, and no third party involved in running the app — your contacts, notes, reminders, and photos never leave your device unless you explicitly export a backup yourself.
Everything you enter — names, phone numbers or handles, birthdays, notes, reminders, and any photo you attach to a contact — is saved only in the app's local database on your device. Keep Up does not sync to iCloud, does not send this data to a server, and has no backend of its own.
If you use the Backup feature, Keep Up creates a file on your device and hands it to iOS's share sheet so you can save or send it wherever you choose (Files, AirDrop, email, etc.). That export only happens when you start it.
Reminders are scheduled as local notifications directly on your device using Apple's notification framework. Keep Up does not use push notifications and no notification content is routed through any outside service.
Keep Up asks for photo access only so you can pick a picture for a contact. The photo you choose is copied into the app's own local storage; Keep Up never scans or uploads the rest of your photo library.
Keep Up is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age — it simply isn't built to collect anything in the first place.
Because everything lives on your device, deleting the app deletes everything with it. Save a backup first if you want to keep it.
